Why is it? Anytime we want to get on track with spending- there are tests...
OK- so we decided to go hardcore budget trimming on Friday (earlier post), this is what has come up since then.
Problem: Saturday: Laptop of 3 years, contains all my "important stuff"- DEAD!
Solution: Sunday paper, Dell on sale @ Best Buy- Monday morning- Brooke, Kate & I negotiated the laptop and some services with Geek Squad- picked up loaded, ready to go New laptop Monday afternoon!
Problem: Tuesday: Garage door will not work- won't close... first thought- OMG call repair.
Solution: Get a ladder, check it out, think hard, problem solve, release it, reset it. It works- thank you handy mom! : )
Problem: Tuesday night: "Everybody in the car"- we are headed to gymnastics. Start the car, NO AIR (it's still HOT here). Roll down the windows, re-live childhood days of NO AIR. Yuck. I have been telling the girls to be thankful for air conditioning- now they know why! : ) - actually they didn't even say anything...
Solution: Honda Service- A/C Transistor failed. - Negotiate (I always try to work it), got 10% off, a car wash and I was a happy camper with AIR by this afternoon! Thank you Nanny for all the running around today. : )
Note to Self: Love, Honor, Negotiate : )
and Keep a good attitude, these are lesson opportunities for both you and your girls-
