THIS is WRONG...
OK- so Kate is the "star" kid of the week. She will be the line leader, have special attention and needed to bring a poster to school. Problem: she is barely two and a half, only attends Tu & Thurs and doesn't cut, write and spell yet. soooo.....
note: Last year Brooke's poster was sweet- she had her ideas (she was 4), she picked out the pictures and we cut, glued and sent her to school proud. Well.... that poster hung in class all year long and was the ONLY poster made by the kid (get the picture).
...back to story- It was a family project this afternoon. We went to the dollar store and grabbed a couple craft supplies and came home to start printing, cutting, glueing and .... OK so it honestly took a couple hours. What's wrong- I really did it and after a good hour of saying; "calm down, not too much, please share, wait..." I finally yelled "go get ready for bed." I hate to admit it, but I did.
I should have just cut out some pictures, glued, wrote her name in and been done- but I didn't want those other mom's to outdo me again- because now I know it's really a project to show my skills. : ) I also remembered why I DO NOT scrapbook.
Here is a sweet picture of Kate with my, I mean her- poster : )

PS. Sorry for the picture- my camera has also taken a dive in the last week...

"So BIG"- Kate's new adventure
No More Diapers- No More Crib
Summer brought lots of quality time at home with my girls. The perfect time to go for potty training and the big room change.
Kate was a quick and easy potty train. She had been interested and practicing for some time and so we decided to go for it. We went straight to the big toilet and rewarded with M&M's. She was the easiest of the three and I am sure it's because she wanted to do it like everybody else.
I loved the nursery- it was a little hard to change the room. We had decided to put Lauren in her own room (convert the nursery) and put Kate in a big girl bed in the room with Brooke.
The first week bedtime was a hard adjustment-Kate was so excited about her big girl bed and going to sleep with someone else in the room she wanted to talk, talk, talk.
Brooke & Kate have adjusted well. They are good friends and sweet playmates most days. They are both into picking out outfits, dressing themselves- and then changing again (as many times as they can- hence the hook and eye on their closet door). They play Mommies together, play outside and I over hear sweet little conversations about babies, toys and them making pretend phone calls.
I've had the girls share bedrooms. I like the bond that it creates and I'd rather have a designated playroom than three separate bedrooms. I am all about being a team, working together and being friends. Plus- I always wanted a sister so I am living a little bit through them...
I am having fun- I hope they are too : )

Sweet & Sassy Baby

Kate-Kate my baby. She is changing everyday and coming into her own. She loves to play mommy- push babies around the house and play outside. She tends to busy herself wherever I am and “help me” (mimic) in whatever I am doing. She likes to write on paper (sit with a pen and some paper) at the counter. She likes to get into her sisters projects and needs some protection at times. She likes purses and everything that goes in them. She has her own purse with keys, a pink cell phone- her favorite birthday present. She enjoys just wondering around with a purse on her arm. She is recently potty trained and just started an older twos class at a nearby preschool. She keeps us entertained and busy, she loves to be carried around and is BIG into cuddling.
More fun to follow...
